Setup and Refilling Instructions
The Zippo Butane Double Flame Insert is shipped unfilled. Follow these steps to install and refill your insert:
- Remove Insert: Carefully remove the butane insert from its packaging or existing lighter case. When removing, place your index finger and thumb on either side of the insert, below the chimney.
- Prepare for Refill: Flip the insert upside-down. The filling valve is located at the bottom right side of the insert.
- Refill with Butane: Place the butane fuel nozzle into the filling valve. Fill for approximately 6 seconds. Use only Zippo butane fuel for optimal performance.
- Insert into Case: Once refilled, carefully slide the butane insert into your regular Zippo lighter case. Ensure it fits snugly.

Operating Instructions
- Ignition: Open the lighter case. Press the ignition button to deploy the double blue flames.
- Flame Adjustment: An adjustable flame dial is located on the end of the insert. To adjust the flame height, flip the butane insert upside down. Use a paper clip or a small screwdriver (like a dime) to twist the screw left or right. The positive (+) sign indicates a larger flame, and the negative (-) sign indicates a smaller flame.
- Extinguishing: Release the ignition button to extinguish the flame. Close the lighter case.
