Important Safeguards
Please read and save these instructions before using your humidifier. When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
- Always place the humidifier on a firm, flat, water-resistant surface at least 12 inches (30 cm) away from walls and 3 feet (90 cm) from heat sources such as stoves, radiators, or heaters.
- Do not operate the humidifier without water in the tank.
- Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
- Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
- Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
- Always unplug the humidifier from the electrical outlet before filling, cleaning, or moving the unit.
- Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not use the humidifier outdoors.
- This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
