3. Setup

3.1 Unpacking

• Carefully remove all contents from the packaging.
• Ensure all components are present: NUWAVE Flex Induction Cooktop, 9-inch Duralon Ceramic Frying Pan, and user manual.
• Remove any protective films or stickers from the cooktop surface.

3.2 Placement

• Place the cooktop on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface.
• Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not block the air vents.
• Keep the cooktop away from water sources and heat-sensitive materials.

3.3 Cookware Compatibility

The NUWAVE Flex Induction Cooktop works exclusively with induction-ready cookware. To check if your existing cookware is compatible, perform a simple magnet test:

• Place a magnet on the bottom of your pot or pan.
• If the magnet sticks firmly, the cookware is induction-compatible.
• If the magnet does not stick or sticks weakly, the cookware is not suitable for induction cooking.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off and Cookware Detection

• Plug the cooktop into a standard electrical outlet.
• Place induction-compatible cookware (with food/liquid) onto the ceramic glass surface.
• Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the unit.
• If no cookware is detected or if incompatible cookware is used, the display will show an error message and the unit will shut off automatically after a short period.

4.2 Temperature Control

• The cooktop offers 45 precise temperature settings, ranging from 100°F to 500°F, adjustable in 10°F increments.
• Use the + and - buttons to adjust the temperature to your desired setting.
• The cooktop also features 6 convenient preset temperature settings for quick selection.
• Temperature adjustments can be made at any time during cooking.

4.3 Wattage Settings

• The cooktop has three wattage settings: 600W, 900W, and 1300W.
• Press the WATTS button to cycle through the available wattage options.
• Choose a lower wattage setting when power is limited, such as in RVs, dorms, or campsites.

• Press the TIME button to activate the timer.
