2. Important Safety Instructions

4.1. Display and Buttons

• LCD Display: Shows current time, day, operating mode (AUTO, ON, OFF), and program settings.

5. Setup

5.1. Initial Power-Up and Reset

1. Plug the timer into a standard wall outlet.
2. The LCD display will light up. If the display is blank or shows garbled characters, press the MASTER CLEAR button using a pointed object to reset the unit. This will clear all memory and restore default settings.
3. Allow the timer to charge for approximately 5-10 minutes before programming, as it contains a built-in rechargeable battery for memory backup.

5.2. Setting the Current Time

1. Press and hold the CLOCK button.
2. While holding CLOCK, press the WEEK button repeatedly until the correct day of the week is displayed.
3. While holding CLOCK, press the HOUR button repeatedly until the correct hour is displayed.
4. While holding CLOCK, press the MINUTE button repeatedly until the correct minute is displayed.
5. Release the CLOCK button. The current time is now set.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Programming ON/OFF Times (8 Cycles)

The timer allows you to set up to 8 ON/OFF programs. Each program consists of an ON time and an OFF time.

1. Press the TIMER button once. The display will show "1 ON".
2. Press WEEK to select the desired day(s) for this program. You can choose a single day, a block of days (e.g., Mon-Fri), or all days. There are 9 repeat modes available.
3. Press HOUR to set the desired ON hour.
4. Press MINUTE to set the desired ON minute.
5. Press the TIMER button again. The display will show "1 OFF".
6. Repeat steps 2-4 to set the desired OFF day(s), hour, and minute for the first program. Note: The OFF day(s) will typically match the ON day(s) unless you want the program to span across midnight or specific days.
7. Press the TIMER button to cycle through the remaining programs (2 ON, 2 OFF, ..., 8 ON, 8 OFF) and set them as needed. If you do not need all 8 programs, simply press CLOCK to exit programming mode.
8. To exit programming mode at any time, press the CLOCK button.

6.2. Selecting Repeat Modes

When setting the program (step 6.1.2), pressing the WEEK button repeatedly will cycle through 9 different repeat modes:

• MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU (Individual days)
• MO TU WE TH FR SA SU (All 7 days)
• MO TU WE TH FR (Weekdays)
• SA SU (Weekend)
• MO TU WE TH FR SA
• MO WE FR
• TU TH SA
• MO TU WE
• TH FR SA

6.3. Manual Override (ON/AUTO/OFF)

Press the ON/AUTO/OFF button to cycle through the operating modes:

• ON: The timer output is continuously ON, ignoring all programmed settings.
• AUTO: The timer operates according to the programmed ON/OFF settings. This is the standard operating mode.
• OFF: The timer output is continuously OFF, ignoring all programmed settings.

6.4. Random Function

The random function is designed to make your home appear occupied when you are away, by turning connected lights or appliances ON and OFF at irregular intervals.

1. Press the RANDOM button to activate the random function. "RANDOM" will appear on the display.
2. When activated, the timer will turn ON and OFF randomly within a specific time window (e.g., 6 PM to 6 AM, or based on your programmed times with added randomness). Refer to the display for specific indications.
3. Press the RANDOM button again to deactivate the function.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Unplug the timer from the wall outlet before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Storage: Store the timer in a cool, dry place when not in use.
