4.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Open the water inlet cover.
  3. Fill the water tank (320 ml capacity) with distilled or demineralized water up to the MAX mark. Do not overfill.

Figure 5: Self Clean System

This image highlights the cap for the self-clean system, which helps remove impurities from the soleplate.

The self-cleaning function helps remove mineral deposits and impurities from the steam chambers. Perform this function regularly, especially if you notice reduced steam output or white flakes.

  1. Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
  2. Set the temperature dial to maximum and plug in the iron.
  3. Once the indicator light turns off, unplug the iron.
  4. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  5. Press and hold the Self-Clean button. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying impurities.
  6. Gently shake the iron back and forth until the water tank is empty.
  7. Release the Self-Clean button.
  8. Reheat the iron to dry the soleplate, then unplug and let it cool.

6.3 Anti-Calc System

The integrated anti-calc filter helps reduce the buildup of limescale, extending the life of your iron. Regular self-cleaning (Section 6.2) complements this system.

6.4 Anti-Drip System

This system prevents water from dripping from the soleplate when the iron's temperature is too low for steam production, protecting your garments from water stains.

6.5 Storage

  • After use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely.
  • Empty any remaining water from the tank.
  • Store the iron upright on its heel in a safe, dry place.
