Product Features

Setup

1. Unpacking

Carefully remove the Explore 5 device from its packaging. Verify that all components are present: the Explore 5 unit, a charging cable, and a power adapter.

2. Initial Charging

Before the first use, fully charge the device's internal Lithium Polymer battery. Connect the charging cable to the Explore 5's charging port and the power adapter, then plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate to show the charging status.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

To turn the device on or off, press and hold the power button located on the side of the unit until the screen activates or deactivates.

2. Adjusting Magnification

Use the + and - buttons on the side of the device to increase or decrease the magnification level. The Explore 5 offers magnification from 2X up to 22X.

3. Changing Contrast Modes

Press the Mode button to cycle through the more than 18 available enhancement contrast modes. These modes include various color combinations such as black on white, white on black, yellow on blue, and full color, to optimize readability for different materials and visual needs.

4. Image Capture

To capture a still image of the magnified text or object, press the Camera button. The captured image will be saved and can be reviewed later by navigating through the device's image gallery.

5. Using the Folding Handle

The Explore 5 features an integrated folding handle. Extend the handle for comfortable handheld use, or position it to prop the device for stable tabletop reading. This allows for hands-free viewing of documents or objects.

6. Autofocus Function

Buttons unresponsive:
