Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your AVENLI 17023EU Oval Above-Ground Pool. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly, installation, and operation. Keep this manual for future reference.
The AVENLI 17023EU pool is an oval self-supporting pool with a rust-resistant steel frame, constructed from durable multi-layer PVC. It features a quick and simple assembly system and excellent stability due to its inflatable top ring and aluminum structure.
Safety Information
Always supervise children in and around the pool. Drowning can occur quickly and silently. Ensure all users understand basic safety rules.
- Never dive or jump into the pool.
- Keep children under constant supervision.
- Install fencing or approved barrier around the pool to prevent unsupervised access.
- Do not use electrical appliances near the pool.
- Ensure the pool is placed on a level, stable surface.
- Regularly check the pool for damage or leaks.
- Keep emergency equipment (e.g., life preserver) readily accessible.
Package Contents
Verify that all components listed below are present before beginning assembly:
- Oval Self-Supporting Pool (Multi-layer PVC with rust-resistant steel frame)
- Cartridge Filter Pump (800 Gal/3028L capacity)
- Safety Ladder
- Ground Cloth
- Protective Cover
- Repair Patch

Setup
The assembly system is designed for quick and simple setup. It is recommended to have at least two people for assembly.
- Site Selection: Choose a firm, level area free of sharp objects and debris. Ensure adequate drainage and proximity to a power source for the pump. The total footprint with structure is approximately 610 x 420 cm.
- Ground Cloth Placement: Spread the ground cloth evenly on the selected site.
- Pool Unfolding: Carefully unfold the pool liner on top of the ground cloth, ensuring the drain valve is positioned correctly for future draining.
- Inflate Top Ring: Inflate the top ring of the pool using an air pump (not included) until it is firm but not overinflated.
- Assemble Frame: Insert the rust-resistant steel frame components into the designated sleeves around the pool liner. Connect all frame pieces securely according to the diagrams.
- Fill Pool: Begin filling the pool with water. As the water level rises, the pool walls will expand and the frame will settle into place. Smooth out any wrinkles in the bottom of the pool as it fills. Fill to the recommended water line, which is approximately 80% capacity (16548 liters).
- Install Filter Pump: Connect the cartridge filter pump to the designated inlet and outlet fittings on the pool. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks. Refer to the pump's separate instruction manual for detailed setup.
- Assemble Ladder: Assemble the safety ladder according to its instructions. Place it securely against the pool wall.

Operating
Proper operation ensures clean water and extends the life of your pool.
- Filter Pump Operation: Operate the filter pump daily for several hours to circulate and filter the pool water. The duration depends on pool usage and water condition.
- Water Chemistry: Regularly test pool water for pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels. Adjust chemicals as needed to maintain balanced water, which prevents algae growth and ensures bather comfort.
- Skimming: Use a skimmer net to remove leaves, insects, and other debris from the water surface daily.
- Vacuuming: Periodically vacuum the pool bottom to remove settled debris.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for pool longevity and hygiene.
- Filter Cartridge Cleaning/Replacement: Clean the filter cartridge every few days by rinsing it with a garden hose. Replace the cartridge every 2-4 weeks, or more frequently if the water remains cloudy.
- Water Level: Maintain the water level between the minimum and maximum fill lines. Add water if necessary.
- Pool Cleaning: Brush the pool walls and floor regularly to prevent algae buildup.
- Winterization: Before winter, completely drain the pool, clean it thoroughly, and allow it to dry. Disassemble the frame and store all components in a dry, protected area to prevent damage from freezing temperatures.
- Patching Leaks: Use the included repair patch for minor punctures. For larger damage, professional repair may be required.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Water is cloudy | Insufficient filtration, dirty filter cartridge, unbalanced water chemistry, algae. | Run filter pump longer, clean/replace filter cartridge, test and adjust water chemicals, shock treat pool. |
| Pump not working | Power issue, clogged impeller, airlock. | Check power connection/breaker, clear debris from impeller, prime the pump. |
| Water level dropping | Leak in liner, evaporation. | Check for visible leaks and use repair patch. Normal evaporation occurs, especially in hot weather. |
| Pool not inflating properly | Air leak in top ring, insufficient inflation. | Locate and patch air leak, ensure proper inflation pressure. |
