Setup

Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit (refer to Figure 2).
  2. Open the battery compartment.
  3. Insert three (3) AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
  4. Securely close the battery compartment cover.

The device comes with 3 AAA batteries included for immediate use.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off and Mode Selection

The Klein Tools 56221 LED Clip Light features two power settings: High and Low.

  • To turn the light ON to High mode, press the power button once.
  • To switch to Low mode, press the power button again.
  • To turn the light OFF, press the power button a third time.

Hands-Free Operation

Utilize the integrated magnetized clip for hands-free lighting:

  • Clip the light onto a shirt pocket, belt, or other suitable clothing for personal illumination.
  • Attach the light to any magnetic surface, such as electrical panels, metal beams, or toolboxes, to illuminate a work area.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the light with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the light dims or stops functioning. Always use fresh AAA alkaline batteries.
  • Storage: Store the light in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for extended periods, remove batteries to prevent leakage.

The light is designed to be impact and water resistant, ensuring durability in demanding conditions. However, it is not submersible.

Troubleshooting

  • Light does not turn on:
    • Check if batteries are installed correctly with proper polarity.
    • Replace old or depleted batteries with new ones.
  • Light is dim:
    • Batteries may be low; replace them.
    • Ensure the light is not in Low mode if High brightness is desired.
