4. Installation Guide
Tools required: Phillips head screwdriver, measuring tape, pencil.
4.1. Prepare the Door
Ensure your door is prepared with standard bore holes. The door thickness should be between 1-3/8" and 1-3/4" (35mm-45mm).

4.2. Install the Latch
- Insert the latch (c) into the edge bore hole of the door.
- Ensure the latch bolt faces the door frame.
- Secure the latch with two short screws (d).
- Adjustable Latch: If needed, twist the latch mechanism to adjust between 2-3/8" (60mm) and 2-3/4" (70mm) backsets.

4.3. Install the Door Levers
- Align the exterior door lever (a) and interior door lever (b) with the latch.
- Insert the spindle from the exterior lever through the latch mechanism.
- Ensure the posts on the interior lever align with the holes on the exterior lever.
- Secure both levers together using the long screws (e).

4.4. Reversible Handle Feature
The lever is reversible for left-handed or right-handed doors. If the handle direction needs to be changed:
- Locate the small pin on the side of the lever base.
- Use the hook spanner (h) or a small tool to depress the pin.
- While holding the pin, pull the lever handle off the base.
- Rotate the handle 180 degrees and reinsert it until it clicks into place.

4.5. Install the Strike Plate
- Align the strike plate (f) with the latch bolt on the door frame.
- Mark the screw holes and chisel out a shallow recess if necessary for a flush fit.
- Secure the strike plate with the remaining short screws (d).
- Insert the striking plate box (g) behind the strike plate if desired for a cleaner finish.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Locking from Exterior
Insert the key (i) into the keyhole on the exterior lever. Turn the key to lock the door. Remove the key to secure the lock.

5.2. Unlocking from Exterior
Insert the key (i) into the keyhole and turn it to unlock the door. The lever will then operate freely.
5.3. Locking from Interior
Press the button on the interior lever to lock the door. The door is now secured from the inside.
5.4. Unlocking from Interior
Turn the interior lever to unlock the door. The button will pop out, indicating the door is unlocked.
6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the door lever with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the satin nickel finish.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a small amount of graphite lubricant to the keyway to ensure smooth operation of the lock cylinder. Do not use oil-based lubricants.
- Screw Tightness: Check and tighten all mounting screws periodically to ensure the lever remains securely attached to the door.
