  • Always unplug the vacuum cleaner before performing any maintenance or cleaning tasks.

4. Operating Instructions

The Kärcher NT Tact Te 35/1 is designed for both wet and dry vacuuming in commercial settings.

4.1 Dry Vacuuming

  • Ensure a filter bag is installed and the PES Flat Pleated filter is clean.
  • Turn on the vacuum cleaner using the push button control.
  • The patented Tact system automatically cleans the filter while vacuuming, maintaining consistent suction power. This system allows for vacuuming large amounts of fine dust (over 770 pounds) before manual filter cleaning is required, significantly prolonging filter life.
  • For power tool integration, connect your power tool to the onboard power outlet. The vacuum will automatically switch on when the power tool is in operation.

4.2 Wet Vacuuming

  • Remove the filter bag before wet vacuuming. The PES Flat Pleated filter is suitable for wet suction.
  • Ensure the float valve is clean and moves freely. This valve prevents the tank from overfilling during wet suction.
  • When the tank is full, the float valve will close, and the suction will stop. Turn off the vacuum cleaner and empty the tank.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Kärcher vacuum cleaner.

5.1 Filter Cleaning and Replacement

  • The Tact system provides automatic filter cleaning during operation. However, periodic manual inspection and cleaning of the PES Flat Pleated filter are recommended.
  • To access the filter, the compact flat pleated filter resides completely outside the tank, allowing removal/replacement without opening the tank and avoiding mess.
  • If the filter is heavily soiled or damaged, replace it with a new Kärcher PES Flat Pleated filter. The unit is also Certified HEPA-Ready, allowing for an optional HEPA filter for medical, industrial, and other demanding settings.

  • For dry vacuuming, periodically empty the filter bag and wipe down the inside of the tank.

5.3 General Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the vacuum cleaner with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Check the hose and accessories for blockages or damage and clean as necessary.
