1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your FERVE F806 Battery Charger. Please read these instructions carefully before use and retain them for future reference. The F806 is designed for charging 12V lead-acid batteries with capacities ranging from 24 to 95 Ah.
2. Safety Information
WARNING: Always follow these safety precautions to prevent injury or damage.
- Ensure the charger is disconnected from the mains power before making or breaking connections to the battery.
- Use the charger only in well-ventilated areas.
- Avoid sparks or flames near the battery during charging, as batteries can produce explosive gases.
- Wear eye protection and gloves when handling batteries.
- Do not expose the charger to rain or excessive moisture.
- Keep out of reach of children.
3. Product Overview
The FERVE F806 is a robust battery charger featuring a durable metal casing and an analog voltmeter for charge indication.

Figure 1: Front view of the FERVE F806 Battery Charger. It shows the analog meter displaying charge percentage and DC Volts, the F-806 model number, battery capacity range (24-95Ah), input/output specifications, CE mark, and the 4A/8A current selector switch. The red and black battery clamps are visible at the bottom left.
Key Components:
- Analog Voltmeter: Displays the battery's charge percentage and DC voltage during charging.
- Current Selector Switch: Allows selection between 4A and 8A charging currents.
- Battery Clamps: Red (+) and Black (-) clamps for connecting to the battery terminals.
- Power Cord: For connecting the charger to the mains power supply.
4. Setup
- Ensure the charger is unplugged from the mains power outlet.
- Place the charger on a stable, dry, and well-ventilated surface.
- Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on your 12V lead-acid battery.
- Connect the red (+) clamp of the charger to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
- Connect the black (-) clamp of the charger to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
- Select the desired charging current (4A or 8A) using the switch on the front panel. For smaller batteries (24-40Ah), 4A is generally recommended. For larger batteries (40-95Ah), 8A can be used for faster charging.
5. Operating Instructions
- After connecting the clamps to the battery and selecting the current, plug the charger's power cord into a standard 230V AC mains outlet.
- The analog voltmeter will indicate the charging status. The needle will move towards the "CHARGING" range and show the DC voltage.
- Monitor the charging process. Charging time will vary depending on the battery's capacity and its initial state of charge.
- Once the battery is fully charged (indicated by the voltmeter reaching the "100% CHARGE" or stable high voltage reading), disconnect the charger from the mains power outlet first.
- Then, disconnect the black (-) clamp from the battery, followed by the red (+) clamp.
6. Maintenance
- Keep the charger clean and dry. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives.
- Inspect the power cord and battery clamps regularly for any signs of damage. Do not use the charger if any part is damaged.
- Store the charger in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Charger not turning on. | No mains power; faulty connection; internal fault. | Check power outlet and connections. Ensure charger is plugged in correctly. If problem persists, seek professional assistance. |
| Battery not charging. | Incorrect clamp connection; battery deeply discharged or faulty. | Verify correct polarity (+ to +, - to -). Check battery condition; some deeply discharged batteries may not accept a charge. |
| Voltmeter not moving. | Battery fully charged; faulty meter. | Confirm battery charge level. If battery is not charged and meter is unresponsive, contact support. |
