4. Setup

  1. Ensure the charger is unplugged from the mains power outlet.
  2. Place the charger on a stable, dry, and well-ventilated surface.
  3. Identify the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals on your 12V lead-acid battery.
  4. Connect the red (+) clamp of the charger to the positive (+) terminal of the battery.
  5. Connect the black (-) clamp of the charger to the negative (-) terminal of the battery.
  6. Select the desired charging current (4A or 8A) using the switch on the front panel. For smaller batteries (24-40Ah), 4A is generally recommended. For larger batteries (40-95Ah), 8A can be used for faster charging.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. After connecting the clamps to the battery and selecting the current, plug the charger's power cord into a standard 230V AC mains outlet.
  2. The analog voltmeter will indicate the charging status. The needle will move towards the "CHARGING" range and show the DC voltage.
  3. Monitor the charging process. Charging time will vary depending on the battery's capacity and its initial state of charge.
  4. Once the battery is fully charged (indicated by the voltmeter reaching the "100% CHARGE" or stable high voltage reading), disconnect the charger from the mains power outlet first.
  5. Then, disconnect the black (-) clamp from the battery, followed by the red (+) clamp.
