4. Maintenance

Regular cleaning is essential to maintain optimal performance and hygiene of your humidifier. It is recommended to clean the humidifier weekly.

4.1. Cleaning the Water Tank and Base

  1. Preparation: Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tank from the base. Empty any remaining water from both the tank and the base.
  2. Cleaning Solution: Create a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water.
  3. Base Cleaning: Pour the vinegar-water mixture into the base, ensuring it covers the ultrasonic nebulizer (the small white disc). Let it sit for at least one hour.
  4. Tank Cleaning: Pour some of the mixture into the water tank and swirl it around. Let it sit for at least one hour.
  5. Scrubbing: After soaking, use a soft brush (often included with the humidifier) to gently scrub the nebulizer and any mineral deposits in the base and tank.
  6. Rinsing: Pour out the cleaning mixture and thoroughly rinse both the tank and base with clean tap water until the vinegar smell is gone.
  7. Drying: Wipe all surfaces dry with a soft, clean cloth before reassembling.

4.2. Cleaning the Permanent Ceramic Filter

The permanent ceramic filter does not need replacement but should be rinsed regularly.

  • Twist the ceramic filter off from the inside bottom of the water tank.
  • Rinse the filter thoroughly under running tap water for a few minutes.
  • Reinsert the filter by twisting it back into place in the water tank.
