Setup
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your Lume Cube using the provided Micro USB charging cable. Connect the cable to the Micro USB port on the Lume Cube and to a standard USB power source. The indicator light will show charging status.
2. Powering On/Off
Press and hold the power button (one of the two buttons on the top) for a few seconds to turn the Lume Cube on or off.
3. Bluetooth Pairing (Lume-X App)
- Download the Lume-X App from your device's app store (available for iPhone and Android).
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone or tablet.
- Open the Lume-X App and follow the on-screen instructions to discover and pair your Lume Cube(s). You can control up to 16 Lume Cubes simultaneously.
4. Mounting
The Lume Cube features a 1/4" 20 tripod mount on its bottom. This allows for attachment to various accessories such as tripods, selfie sticks, camera rigs, and drone mounts. Ensure the Lume Cube is securely fastened to prevent accidental detachment.

Operating Instructions
1. Adjusting Brightness
The Lume Cube offers 10 levels of brightness. You can adjust this manually using the buttons on the device or through the Lume-X App. The app provides finer control and allows for remote adjustments.
2. Flash and Strobe Modes
The Lume Cube can function as a constant video light or as a flash. In slave mode, it can be triggered by another flash (down to 1/125 of a second). Strobe mode and flash duration can be controlled via the Lume-X App.
3. Underwater Use
The Lume Cube is waterproof up to 100 feet (30 meters). Ensure the Micro USB port cover is securely closed before submerging the device. After underwater use, rinse the Lume Cube with fresh water and dry thoroughly.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the Lume Cube with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Heat Management: At full brightness, the aluminum housing of the Lume Cube can become very hot. Exercise caution when handling the device after prolonged use at high power settings. Consider using a mounting accessory to avoid direct skin contact.
- Storage: Store the Lume Cube in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
- Device Not Turning On: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect to a power source using the Micro USB cable.
