4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert the NP-40 Lithium Battery into the compartment, ensuring the correct polarity.
- Close the battery compartment cover until it clicks securely into place.
4.2 Inserting an SD Card

5. Operating the Camera
5.1 Powering On/Off
To power on the camera, press and hold the Power button until the LCD screen illuminates. To power off, press and hold the Power button again until the screen turns off. The camera also features an automatic shut-off function (Off / 60s / 180s) to conserve battery life.
5.2 Basic Recording (Video)
The DVH-591 supports 720P HD video resolution.
- Turn on the camera.
- Ensure the camera is in video recording mode (usually indicated by an icon on the screen). If not, use the Mode button to switch.
- Frame your shot using the 3.0-inch LCD screen.
