1. Introduction

The WAVLINK USB Laptop Docking Station is a versatile solution designed to expand your laptop's connectivity and display capabilities. It supports dual monitor displays with resolutions up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz (HDMI and DVI outputs) or 2560x1440 @ 50Hz (single HDMI). Compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Ubuntu, this docking station features 6 USB ports (2x USB 3.0, 4x USB 2.0), a 3.5mm audio jack, and a Gigabit Ethernet port for stable wired network connectivity. 3. Setup & Installation

Follow these steps to set up your WAVLINK USB Laptop Docking Station:

1. Connect Power: Plug the included power adapter into the DC 12V port on the back of the docking station, then connect it to a power outlet.
2. Connect to Laptop: Use the provided USB 3.0 A to B cable to connect the docking station's USB3.0 IN port to an available USB port on your laptop.
3. Driver Installation: For Windows 10/11, drivers should install automatically via Windows Update (Plug and Play). For macOS, Ubuntu, or ChromeOS, you may need to download the latest DisplayLink drivers from the official DisplayLink website.
4. Connect Monitors:
   • Dual Display: Connect your primary monitor to the HDMI port and your secondary monitor to the DVI port. Use the DVI to HDMI or DVI to VGA adapters if needed.
   • Display Modes: Configure your display settings (Extend, Mirror) through your operating system's display settings.

5. Connect Peripherals: Plug your USB devices (keyboard, mouse, printer, external drives) into the available USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 ports. Connect your Ethernet cable to the LAN port for wired network access. Plug headphones or speakers into the 3.5mm audio jack.

4. Operating Instructions

Once set up, the WAVLINK Docking Station operates seamlessly with your connected laptop. Here's how to utilize its features:

• Power On/Off: Use the power switch on the rear of the docking station to turn the unit on or off. A blue LED indicator on the front will confirm its power status.
• Display Management: Your operating system's display settings will allow you to configure extended or mirrored desktops across your connected monitors. This enables multitasking and presentations.
• USB Connectivity: The 6 USB ports provide ample connectivity for all your peripherals. USB 3.0 ports offer high-speed data transfer for devices like external hard drives, while USB 2.0 ports are suitable for keyboards, mice, and other standard accessories.
• Network Access: The Gigabit Ethernet port ensures a stable and fast wired internet connection, ideal for online gaming or large file transfers.

5. Maintenance

• No Display on Monitors:
  • Ensure the docking station is powered on and the blue LED is lit.
  • Verify all display cables (HDMI, DVI, VGA) are securely connected to both the docking station and the monitors.
  • Check your laptop's display settings to ensure the monitors are detected and configured for Extend or Mirror mode.
  • Reinstall or update DisplayLink drivers from the official DisplayLink website.
• USB Devices Not Recognized:
  • Try connecting the USB device to a different USB port on the docking station or directly to your laptop to confirm functionality.
  • Ensure the docking station is properly connected to your laptop via the USB 3.0 A to B cable.
  • Restart your laptop and the docking station.
• No Network Connection (LAN):
  • Verify the Ethernet cable is securely connected to both the docking station and your router/modem.
  • Check your laptop's network settings to ensure the Ethernet connection is enabled.
  • Restart your router/modem, laptop, and docking station.
• Audio Issues:
  • Ensure your audio devices (headphones/speakers) are correctly plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack.
  • Check your laptop's audio settings to ensure the correct output device is selected.
