2. What's in the Box
- 2 x Cobra ACXT1035R FLT Walkie Talkies
- 6 x AA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries (3 per radio)
- 1 x Charging Dock
- 1 x Micro-USB Cable
- 2 x Belt Clips

3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation
- Ensure the radio is powered off.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Open the cover and insert 3 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Securely close the battery compartment cover.
3.2 Charging
For initial use, fully charge the batteries. The radios can be charged using the included charging dock or individually via the micro-USB port.
- Connect the micro-USB cable to the charging dock and a power source.
- Place the walkie talkies into the charging slots on the dock. Ensure they are seated correctly.
- The charging indicator light on the radio or dock will illuminate to show charging status.
- Alternatively, connect the micro-USB cable directly to the micro-USB port on each radio for individual charging.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
- To power on: Press and hold the Power/Menu button until the display illuminates.
- To power off: Press and hold the Power/Menu button until the display turns off.
4.2 Channel Selection
The radio supports 22 channels. To change channels:
- Press the Menu button. The channel number will flash.
- Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to select the desired channel (1-22).
- Press the Menu button again to confirm, or wait a few seconds for the selection to auto-confirm.
4.3 Privacy Codes
The radio features 121 privacy codes to minimize interference from other users on the same channel. To set a privacy code:
- Select your desired channel first.
- Press the Menu button twice. The privacy code number will flash.
- Use the Up/Down arrow buttons to select the desired privacy code (0-121).
- Press the Menu button again to confirm, or wait a few seconds for the selection to auto-confirm.
4.4 VOX (Voice-Activated Transmission)
VOX allows hands-free operation. The radio transmits when your voice is detected.
- To activate/deactivate VOX: Refer to the detailed instructions in the full product manual for specific menu navigation.
- Adjust VOX sensitivity: Higher sensitivity detects softer voices, lower sensitivity requires louder speech.
4.5 Rewind-Say-Again®
This feature automatically records the last 20 seconds of incoming audio, allowing you to replay missed calls.
- To use: Press the dedicated Rewind-Say-Again button (refer to radio diagram for location).
4.6 NOAA Weather & Alert
Stay informed about weather conditions and emergencies with the built-in NOAA radio receiver.
- To access NOAA Weather Channels: Press the WX button.
- Weather Alert: The radio can automatically alert you to severe weather or other emergencies. Enable this feature in the menu settings.
4.7 Built-In LED/S.O.S. Flashlight
The flashlight provides illumination and an S.O.S. signaling function.
- To activate flashlight: Press the dedicated Flashlight button.
- To activate S.O.S. mode: Press the Flashlight button multiple times or hold it down (refer to full manual for exact sequence).
4.8 Vibralert & Call Alert
Your radio can alert you to incoming signals silently or audibly.
- Call Tone: The radio sounds an audible tone for incoming calls.
- Vibralert: The radio vibrates silently for incoming calls. This can be enabled/disabled in the menu.
4.9 Key Lock
To prevent accidental changes to settings, you can lock the keypad.
- To activate/deactivate Key Lock: Press and hold the Lock button (often combined with another function button). A lock icon will appear on the display.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior of the radio. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Waterproofing: Ensure the battery compartment cover and any port covers are securely closed before exposing the radio to water. While IPX7 rated, prolonged submersion or high-pressure water jets should be avoided.
- Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. If the radio will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.
- Storage: Store the radio in a dry, dust-free environment away from extreme temperatures.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Power: Check if batteries are correctly installed and fully charged. Replace with fresh batteries if necessary.
- Poor Range/Interference: Ensure both radios are on the same channel and privacy code. Move to an open area away from obstructions (buildings, hills, dense foliage). Check battery level.
- Unclear Audio: Adjust volume. Ensure the microphone is not obstructed. Speak clearly and directly into the microphone.
- Radio Not Responding: Try turning the radio off and then on again. If issues persist, remove and reinsert batteries.
