1. Setup
1.1 Unpacking the Console

1.2 Connecting the Console to a Television
Connect the AV cable to the AV MULTI OUT port on the back of the PlayStation 2 console. Connect the other end of the AV cable (yellow, white, red connectors) to the corresponding input jacks on your television. The yellow connector is for video, and the white and red connectors are for left and right stereo audio, respectively.

1.3 Connecting the AC Adaptor
Connect the AC adaptor cable to the DC IN 8.5V port on the back of the console. Plug the power cord into the AC adaptor, then plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
1.4 Connecting Controllers and Memory Cards
Insert DUALSHOCK 2 analog controllers into the CONTROLLER ports on the front of the console. Insert PlayStation 2 Memory Cards into the MEMORY CARD slots on the front of the console. Ensure they are inserted correctly with the label facing up.
2. Operating Instructions
2.1 Powering On and Off
To power on the console, press the POWER button located on the front of the console. The indicator light will turn green. To power off, press the POWER button again. The indicator light will turn red.
2.2 Inserting and Removing Discs
Open the disc tray cover by sliding it to the right. Place a PlayStation 2 format disc (CD or DVD) onto the disc tray spindle with the label side facing up. Gently close the disc tray cover by sliding it to the left until it clicks into place. To remove a disc, open the cover and lift the disc carefully from the spindle.
2.3 Navigating the PlayStation 2 Browser
When the console is powered on without a game disc, the PlayStation 2 Browser screen will appear. From here, you can access Memory Card management, system configuration, and disc playback options. Use the DUALSHOCK 2 controller's directional buttons and X button to navigate and select options.
2.4 Playing Games
After inserting a game disc and powering on the console, the game should automatically start. If it does not, select "Disc" from the PlayStation 2 Browser menu. Follow on-screen instructions for game-specific controls and saving procedures.
2.5 Saving Game Data
Game data is saved to a PlayStation 2 Memory Card (8MB). Ensure a memory card is inserted into one of the MEMORY CARD slots before attempting to save game progress. Most games provide an in-game option to save data.

4. Troubleshooting
4.1 No Power
- Ensure the AC adaptor is securely connected to the console and the power cord is firmly plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Verify the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
4.2 No Video or Audio Output
- Check that the AV cable is securely connected to both the console and the television.
- Ensure your television is set to the correct input source (e.g., AV1, Video 1).
- Verify the television's volume is not muted or set too low.
4.3 Disc Read Errors
- Ensure the disc is clean and free of scratches or smudges. Clean the disc if necessary (refer to Section 3.2).
- Verify the disc is inserted correctly with the label side facing up.

4.4 Controller Not Responding
