4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

The scale features a sleek tempered glass surface that is easy to clean. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent to wipe the surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the finish or electronic components. Do not immerse the scale in water.

4.2 Storage

Store the scale in a dry place at room temperature. Avoid extreme temperatures or high humidity. Do not place heavy objects on the scale when not in use.

5. Troubleshooting

  • Inaccurate or Inconsistent Readings:
    • Ensure the scale is placed on a hard, flat, and level surface. Carpets or uneven floors can cause discrepancies.
    • Make sure to step onto the scale gently and stand still. Shifting weight can affect the reading.
    • If multiple readings vary significantly, try removing the batteries for 10 seconds and then reinserting them to reset the scale.
  • "Lo" or No Display:
    • This indicates low battery power. Replace all 3 AAA batteries with new ones.
  • "Err" Message:
    • This typically means the maximum weight capacity (440 lbs / 200 kg) has been exceeded.
    • It can also indicate an unstable reading. Step off the scale, wait a few seconds, and then step back on.
