  3. Placement: Place the rice cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and direct heat. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Cooking Rice

Follow these steps for cooking rice:

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Add Water: Place the rinsed rice into the inner cooking bowl. Add the appropriate amount of water. A common ratio is 1 cup of rice to 1.5-2 cups of water, but this may vary based on rice type. Refer to the markings inside the inner bowl for guidance.
  3. Insert Bowl: Place the inner cooking bowl into the base unit, ensuring it sits properly on the heating element.
  4. Close Lid: Place the lid securely on the inner cooking bowl.
  5. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The 'WARM' indicator light may illuminate.
  6. Start Cooking: Press the 'COOK' switch down. The 'COOK' indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the cooking process has begun.
  7. Automatic Keep Warm: Once the rice is cooked, the thermostat will automatically switch the cooker to the 'WARM' mode. The 'COOK' light will turn off, and the 'WARM' light will illuminate.
  8. Resting Period: For best results, allow the rice to rest in the 'WARM' mode for 10-15 minutes before serving. This allows the rice to absorb any remaining moisture and become fluffier.
  9. Serve: Use the provided rice paddle to fluff and serve the rice.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your rice cooker.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the rice cooker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Inner Cooking Bowl: The stainless steel inner cooking bowl is dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash it with warm, soapy water using a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  3. Lid, Measuring Cup, and Paddle: Wash these accessories with warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry.
  4. Base Unit: Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Never immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
  5. Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing the rice cooker. Store in a cool, dry place.
