3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Attaching to Camera or Cage
The base plate can be directly attached to your camera or to a camera cage using the provided 1/4'' and 3/8'' screws. The rubber padding on the top surface ensures a secure fit and prevents rotation or scratching of your camera body or cage.
- Identify the mounting point on your camera or camera cage.
- Align the base plate with the mounting point.
- Secure the base plate using the appropriate 1/4'' or 3/8'' fixing screw. For camera cages, the two 1/4''-20 screws can be used for a more secure attachment.

3.2 Utilizing 15mm LWS Rod Support
The base plate features 15mm diameter and 60mm spaced rod holes, which are standard for LWS (Lightweight Support) systems. These rod holes allow for the attachment of various accessories such as follow focus systems, matte boxes, and lens supports.
- Insert 15mm rods (not included) into the rod holes on the base plate.
- Tighten the wingnuts on the side of the base plate to secure the rods in place. The 360° adjustable wingnuts allow for easy and precise positioning.
- Attach your desired 15mm rod-compatible accessories to the rods.

The bottom of the base plate is equipped with 1/4''-20 and 3/8''-16 threads, enabling it to be attached to quick release plates or directly onto tripods.
- Locate the 1/4''-20 and 3/8''-16 threads on the bottom of the base plate.
- Attach your quick release plate or tripod head to these threads.
- Ensure the connection is secure before mounting your camera setup.
