1. Introduction

The Revo SuperConnect is a multi-format digital radio designed to provide access to various audio sources. It supports DAB, DAB+, FM with RDS, and Internet Radio, offering a wide selection of stations. Additionally, it features wireless audio playback capabilities including DLNA, WLAN, Bluetooth with aptX for streaming from compatible devices, and Spotify Connect for accessing music services. The unit is constructed with an American Walnut cabinet, anodised aluminium, and mild-steel components, featuring an OLED display and joystick control for navigation.

3. Product Overview

3.1 Front Panel

The front panel features the OLED display, control joystick, power button, and preset buttons for quick access to saved stations.

3.2 Rear Panel

The rear panel includes connections for power, auxiliary input, digital output, and the telescopic antenna.

4. Setup

4.1 Power Connection

1. Connect the supplied AC power adapter to the 18V DC input port on the rear of the SuperConnect.
2. Plug the power adapter into a suitable wall outlet.
3. The unit will power on and enter standby mode.

4.2 Antenna Setup

• For optimal DAB/DAB+ and FM reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna located on the rear of the unit.
• Adjust the antenna's position for the best signal quality.

4.3 Network Setup (Wi-Fi)

To access Internet Radio, Spotify Connect, and DLNA features, the SuperConnect must be connected to a Wi-Fi network.

1. Power on the unit. If it's the first time, it may automatically enter network setup.
2. Navigate to the Menu using the joystick, then select System Settings > Network > Network Wizard.
3. The radio will scan for available Wi-Fi networks.
4. Select your desired network from the list.
5. Enter the network password (WPA/WPA2 key) using the joystick to select characters. Press Select to confirm each character and the final password.
6. Once connected, the display will show a confirmation message.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls

• Power Button: Press to turn the unit on or off (standby).
• Joystick: Move up/down/left/right to navigate menus and adjust volume. Press in to select.
• Mode Button: Cycles through available modes (DAB, FM, Internet Radio, Bluetooth, Spotify, DLNA, Aux In).
• Menu Button: Accesses the main menu for the current mode or system settings.
• Info Button: Displays additional information about the current station or track.
• Alarm Button: Sets and manages alarms.
• Preset Buttons (1-8): Press and hold to save a station; press briefly to recall a saved station.

5.2 DAB/DAB+ Radio

1. Press the Mode button until DAB Radio is selected.
2. The radio will perform an auto-scan for available DAB/DAB+ stations if it's the first time or if no stations are found.
3. Use the joystick to scroll through the list of available stations.
4. Press the joystick to select a station.

5.3 FM Radio

1. Press the Mode button until FM Radio is selected.
2. To auto-tune, press and hold the joystick. The radio will scan for the next available station.
3. To manually tune, rotate the joystick to adjust the frequency.

5.4 Internet Radio

Requires an active Wi-Fi connection.

1. Press the Mode button until Internet Radio is selected.
2. You can browse stations by location, genre, or search for specific stations.
3. Use the joystick to navigate and select your desired station.

5.5 Bluetooth Streaming

The SuperConnect supports Bluetooth with aptX for high-quality wireless audio streaming.

1. Press the Mode button until Bluetooth is selected. The radio will enter pairing mode.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), go to its Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
3. Select "Revo SuperConnect" from the list.
4. Once paired, audio from your device will stream through the SuperConnect.

5.6 Spotify Connect

Requires a Spotify Premium account and an active Wi-Fi connection.

1. Ensure your SuperConnect is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device running the Spotify app.
2. Open the Spotify app on your smartphone, tablet, or computer.
3. Play a song and tap the "Devices Available" icon (usually a speaker or computer icon).
4. Select "Revo SuperConnect" from the list of available devices.
5. The SuperConnect will begin playing audio from Spotify.

5.7 DLNA Audio Streaming

Allows wireless audio playback from external computers and music servers on the same network.

1. Ensure your SuperConnect and DLNA-compatible device (e.g., PC with media server software) are on the same Wi-Fi network.
2. Press the Mode button until DLNA is selected.
3. The radio will display available media servers. Select your desired server.
4. Browse your music library and select tracks for playback.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning

• Always disconnect the power adapter before cleaning.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surfaces of the radio.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.

6.2 Software Updates

The SuperConnect may receive firmware updates to improve performance or add features. Check the system settings menu for available updates periodically.
