3. Setup

3.1. Base Unit Placement

Place the base unit near a standard AC power outlet and a telephone line jack. Avoid placing it near electronic appliances that may cause interference, such as microwave ovens, computers, or other cordless phones.

3.2. Connecting the Base Unit

  1. Connect the AC power adaptor to the base unit and then plug it into a power outlet.
  2. Connect the telephone line cord to the base unit and then plug it into the telephone wall jack.

3.3. Handset Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
  2. Insert the rechargeable batteries according to the polarity markings (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover.
  4. Place the handset on the base unit to charge. The charge indicator on the handset should illuminate. Allow at least 7 hours for the initial charge.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Making a Call

  1. Lift the handset from the base unit or press the TALK button.
  2. Dial the desired phone number.
  3. To end the call, press the OFF button or place the handset back on the base unit.

4.2. Answering a Call

When the phone rings:

  • Press the TALK button.
  • To end the call, press the OFF button or place the handset back on the base unit.

4.3. Adjusting Handset Volume

During a call, use the (Up) or (Down) buttons on the handset to adjust the earpiece volume.

4.4. Using the Speakerphone

During a call, press the SPEAKER button to activate the speakerphone function. Press it again to return to the earpiece.

4.5. Caller ID

If you subscribe to Caller ID service, the caller's information will be displayed on the handset screen before you answer the call. You can review a list of previous callers by accessing the Caller ID log (refer to the handset menu for navigation).

4.6. Phonebook

The phonebook allows you to store frequently called numbers. Refer to the handset menu for instructions on adding, editing, and deleting phonebook entries.

4.7. Locating the Handset

If you misplace your handset, press the LOCATE PHONE button on the base unit. The handset will ring, allowing you to find it.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning
