6. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your projector:

  1. Placement: Place the projector on a stable, flat surface. Ensure there is enough space around the projector for proper ventilation. The ideal projection distance is between 1 to 4 meters, yielding a screen size of 25 to 100 inches.
  2. Power Connection: Connect the power cable to the projector's power input and then plug it into a wall outlet.
  3. Connect Input Source:
    • HDMI: Connect an HDMI cable from your device (e.g., laptop, game console) to the HDMI port on the projector.
    • VGA: Connect a VGA cable from your computer to the VGA port.
    • AV: Use the included 3-in-1 AV cable to connect to devices with RCA outputs.
    • USB: Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port for direct media playback.
    • TV: Connect an antenna to the TV input for analog TV channels.
  4. Power On: Press the power button on the projector or the remote control to turn on the device.
  5. Focus Adjustment: Rotate the focus ring on the lens until the projected image is clear and sharp.
  6. Keystone Correction: If the image appears trapezoidal, adjust the keystone correction dial (±15°) until the image is rectangular.

7. Operating

This section details the basic operation of your Cheerlux C6 projector.

7.1. Power On/Off

  • To turn on: Press the Power button on the projector or remote control.
  • To turn off: Press the Power button again. Confirm shutdown if prompted.

7.2. Input Source Selection

After powering on, select your desired input source:

  • Press the Source button on the remote control or projector.
  • Use the arrow keys to navigate through input options (HDMI, VGA, AV, USB, TV).
  • Press OK to confirm your selection.

7.3. Menu Navigation

Use the remote control to access and navigate the projector's menu:

  • Press the Menu button to open the main menu.
  • Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select menu categories (e.g., Picture, Sound, Time, Option).
  • Use the Left/Right arrow keys to adjust settings within a selected category.
  • Press OK to confirm changes or enter sub-menus.
  • Press Exit or Menu again to close the menu.

7.4. Multimedia Playback (USB)

To play media from a USB flash drive:

  1. Insert your USB flash drive into the USB port.
  2. Select "USB" as the input source.
  3. The projector will display a media browser. Select the type of media you wish to play (Movie, Music, Photo, Text).
  4. Navigate through your files using the arrow keys and press OK to open or play a file.

Supported formats include: Video (MP4, H.264, FLV, RMVB, RM, MPG, MPEG, DAT, VOB, MOV, AVI), Audio (CD, WAV, WMA, MP3), Picture (JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, JPEG).

8. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your projector.

  • Lens Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to gently wipe the projector lens. Do not use abrasive cleaners or excessive force.
  • Ventilation Ports: Regularly check and clean the ventilation ports to prevent dust buildup, which can lead to overheating. Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust.
  • General Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the projector with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the projector in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Lamp Life: The LED lamp has a life of approximately 50,000 hours, meaning it typically does not require replacement during the product's lifespan under normal usage.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your projector, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Increase volume using the remote or projector controls. Check if muted.
  • Ensure audio cables are properly connected for AV/VGA sources.
  • Check audio settings on the source device.
Projector overheats and shuts down
