Charging the Radio
The Esky Emergency Radio offers three methods for charging its internal 2000mAh battery:
- Hand Crank Power: Rotate the hand crank clockwise or counter-clockwise at a steady pace (approximately 130-150 RPM) for 3-5 minutes to generate power for short-term use. This method is ideal when other power sources are unavailable.
- Solar Power: Place the radio with the solar panel facing direct sunlight. The solar panel charges the internal battery slowly and is best used for maintaining charge or for trickle charging over extended periods.
- USB Charging: Connect the supplied USB cable to the radio's input port and a USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer, power bank). This is the fastest and most efficient way to fully charge the radio.

Power Bank Function
The radio can act as a power bank to charge external devices:
- Connect Device: Plug your mobile phone or other small USB-powered device into the USB OUT port of the radio using your device's charging cable.
- Charging: The radio's internal 2000mAh battery will begin to charge your connected device. Note that the radio's battery capacity is designed for emergency top-ups, not full charges of modern smartphones.

Maintenance
- Regular Charging: To prolong battery life, fully charge the radio at least once every 3 months, especially if stored for long periods.
- Cleaning: Wipe the radio with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: Store the radio in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Water: This device is not waterproof. Avoid exposure to rain, splashes, or immersion in water.
