3. Setup

3.1. Battery Installation

Your Clockwise Tools Digital Caliper requires two CR2032 batteries (included). One battery is pre-installed, and a spare is provided.

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the digital display unit.
  2. Slide the cover open.
  3. Insert the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2. Initial Cleaning and Calibration

For optimal accuracy, it is recommended to clean the external jaws with a small piece of paper or a paper card every time before use. Your caliper is factory-calibrated and ready for immediate use.

4. Operating Instructions

Press the mm/in/F button to cycle through measurement units: millimeters (mm), inches (in), and fractions (F).

4.3. Zero Setting

To set the zero point at any position:

  1. Close the jaws completely or position them at your desired zero reference point.
  2. Press the ZERO button. The display will show "0.00" or "0" for the selected unit.

4.4. Taking Measurements

Use the thumb wheel to smoothly slide the measuring jaws.

4.5. Data Transfer

The DCLR-0605 is equipped with an RS232 data transfer port. To transfer measurement data to a PC, you will need the optional DTCR-02 data cable (sold separately). This port is for data transfer only and is not for charging. It is not compatible with regular USB cables.
