4. Setup
4.1 Physical Installation
- Placement: Place the printer on a stable, flat surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. The printer is wall-mount ready for flexible deployment if desired.
- Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the printer's power input port and then plug the adapter into a suitable power outlet.
- Connect Data Cable: Connect the USB cable from the printer to your host computer or POS system.
- Connect Cash Drawer (Optional): If using a cash drawer, connect its cable to the CR port on the printer. The PP8800 can control up to two cash drawers through this single port.
4.2 Loading Paper Roll
The PP8800 features a "drop-and-load" mechanism for easy paper roll replacement.
- Open the printer cover by pressing the cover release latch (usually located on the side or front).
- Insert the new thermal paper roll into the compartment with the paper feeding from the bottom and extending towards the front of the printer. Ensure the paper is aligned correctly. The printer supports 80 mm or 58 mm paper width.
- Pull a small amount of paper out past the cutter.
- Close the printer cover firmly until it latches securely.

4.3 Driver Installation
