Setup Guide

1. Power Connection: Connect the included AC adapter to the DC 9V input jack located on the back of the keyboard. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet. Alternatively, for portable use, insert 6 x 1.5V 'D' batteries (not included) into the battery compartment on the underside of the keyboard.
2. Attach Music Stand: Insert the tabs of the included sheet music stand into the corresponding slots on the top rear of the keyboard. Ensure it is securely in place. This stand is ideal for holding sheet music or a tablet device.
3. Apply Note Stickers (Optional): For beginners, the included piano note stickers can be applied to the keys to help identify notes. Carefully peel and stick them onto the white keys as indicated on the sticker sheet. These can be removed later without residue.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

Press the red 'POWER' button located on the left side of the control panel to turn the keyboard on or off. The LCD screen will illuminate when powered on.

Volume Control

Adjust the overall sound volume using the 'MASTER VOLUME' buttons (up/down arrows) on the control panel. The 'RHYTHM VOLUME' buttons control the volume of the accompaniment rhythms.

Selecting Tones and Rhythms

The keyboard features 100 different tones (instrument sounds) and 100 rhythms (accompaniment styles). Use the numeric keypad (0-9) to directly input the desired tone or rhythm number, or use the '+' and '-' buttons to cycle through them. The selected number will be displayed on the LCD screen.

Learning Features

The integrated teaching tool utilizes the LCD screen to provide visual guidance, indicating which chords or notes to play. This feature is designed to assist beginners in learning musical pieces effectively.

For an enhanced learning experience, the RockJam keyboard is compatible with the Simply Piano application. Use the provided voucher to access exclusive content within the app. The app offers real-time feedback, guided lessons, and a wide selection of songs to learn. Simply place your tablet on the music stand and connect it to the keyboard (if applicable, via auxiliary cable or wirelessly if supported by your device and the app).

Record and Playback

The keyboard includes a record and playback function, allowing you to capture your performances. Press the 'RECORD' button to begin recording your playing. Press 'PLAY' to listen to your recorded music. This feature supports recording up to 41 notes.

Headphone Use

For private practice, connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the 'HEADPHONES' jack located on the back of the keyboard. This will mute the built-in speakers.
