1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

  • Battery Safety: Use only the specified battery type (2 x AA). Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage. Dispose of used batteries responsibly.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not expose the radio to rain, moisture, or immerse it in water. This device is not waterproof.
  • Cleaning: Clean the unit with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays.

  • Tuning Dial: Used to select radio frequencies for AM and FM bands.
  • AM/FM Switch: Toggles between Amplitude Modulation (AM) and Frequency Modulation (FM) radio bands.
  • Power and Volume Switch: Turns the radio on/off and adjusts the audio output level.
  • Integrated Antenna: Extendable antenna for FM reception. AM reception uses an internal antenna.
  • 3.5mm AUX Port: Input jack for connecting external audio devices (e.g., headphones, external speakers).
  • Battery Compartment: Located on the back of the unit, holds two AA batteries.

5. Setup

5.1. Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
  2. Slide the cover downwards or in the direction indicated by the arrow to open it.
  3. Insert two (2) AA batteries, ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals match the diagrams inside the compartment.
  4. Replace the battery compartment cover by sliding it back into place until it clicks securely.

Note: Always use fresh batteries for optimal performance and battery life. Remove batteries if the radio will not be used for an extended period.

6. Operation

6.1. Power On/Off and Volume Adjustment

  • To turn the radio ON, rotate the Power and Volume Switch clockwise until you hear a click and the radio powers on.
  • Continue rotating the switch clockwise to increase the volume.
  • Rotate the switch counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
  • To turn the radio OFF, rotate the Power and Volume Switch counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the radio powers off.

6.2. Tuning Radio Stations

  1. Turn on the radio using the Power and Volume Switch.
  2. Select your desired band (AM or FM) using the AM/FM Switch.
  3. For FM reception, extend the integrated antenna fully for optimal signal strength. For AM reception, the internal antenna is used, and rotating the radio may improve reception.
  4. Slowly rotate the Tuning Dial to scan for stations. The frequency scale will indicate the approximate station frequency.
  5. Stop rotating when you find a clear broadcast. Fine-tune slightly for the best possible sound quality.

6.3. Using the 3.5mm AUX Input

The 3.5mm AUX port allows you to connect headphones or external speakers for a personalized listening experience.

  • Insert a standard 3.5mm audio jack from your headphones or external speakers into the AUX port on the side of the radio.
  • The radio's internal speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.
  • Adjust the volume using the radio's Power and Volume Switch.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the radio's exterior with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the sound becomes weak or distorted, or if the radio fails to power on. Always replace both AA batteries simultaneously.
  • Storage: If storing the radio for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent potential leakage and damage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
