Operating the Lens

Focus Mode Switch (A/M)

  • M (Manual Focus): For manual focusing. Rotate the focus ring on the lens to adjust focus.

Vibration Reduction (VR) Switch (ON/OFF)

The Vibration Reduction (VR) system helps reduce blur caused by camera shake, especially in low light or when using longer focal lengths.

  • ON: Activates Vibration Reduction. Recommended for most shooting situations.
  • OFF: Deactivates Vibration Reduction. Turn off VR when using a tripod or when shooting at very fast shutter speeds.

Zooming

To zoom in or out, rotate the zoom ring on the lens barrel. The focal length markings (18, 24, 35, 50, 70, 140) indicate the current focal length in millimeters.
