Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Koolatron Coca-Cola CC06 Electric Mini Cooler. This portable thermoelectric mini fridge is designed for convenient cooling of beverages and snacks. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating your cooler to ensure safe and efficient use. Keep this manual for future reference.

Safety Information

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not operate the cooler with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord or plug is damaged, contact customer support.
  • Ensure the power source matches the voltage requirements of the cooler (12V DC or 110V AC).
  • Do not immerse the cooler, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Keep ventilation openings clear and unobstructed. Allow at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space around the cooler for proper airflow.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  • Unplug the cooler from the power outlet when not in use or before cleaning.
  • Do not use the cooler for storing flammable materials or chemicals.

Verify that all items are present in the package:

  • 12 Volt DC power cord (for vehicle use)
  • 110 Volt AC power cord (for household use)

Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the cooler from its packaging. Retain packaging materials for future transport or storage.
  2. Placement: Place the cooler on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit, leaving at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space on all sides, especially around the rear fan area. Avoid placing the cooler in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
  3. Power Connection:
    • For Household Use (110V AC): Connect the 110V AC power cord to the AC input port on the back of the cooler. Plug the other end into a standard wall outlet.
    • For Vehicle Use (12V DC): Connect the 12V DC power cord to the DC input port on the back of the cooler. Plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V accessory outlet (cigarette lighter socket).

    Note: Do not connect both AC and DC power cords simultaneously.

  4. Initial Cooling: After connecting to power, allow the cooler to operate for at least 30 minutes before placing items inside. This allows the internal temperature to stabilize.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Locate the switch on the back of the cooler. Move the switch to the 'COLD' position to activate the cooling function. Move it to 'OFF' to turn the unit off.
  2. Loading Contents: Open the cooler door by pushing down on the recessed handle tab. Place pre-chilled beverages or snacks inside for best cooling performance. The cooler can hold up to 8 standard 12 oz (355ml) cans.
  3. Using the Removable Shelf: The cooler includes a removable shelf to help organize contents. To remove, gently lift and slide it out. To reinsert, align it with the grooves and slide it into place.
  4. Door Latch: The cooler features a self-locking recessed handle. Ensure the door is securely closed after accessing contents to maintain internal temperature.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the cooler from the power source before cleaning. Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. Ensure the cooler is completely dry before reconnecting power.
  • Defrosting: This cooler features a manual defrost system. If ice buildup occurs on the interior cooling plate, disconnect the unit from power and allow the ice to melt naturally. Wipe away any excess water with a clean cloth.
  • Ventilation: Regularly check that the rear fan and ventilation openings are free from dust and debris. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to gently clear any obstructions.
  • Storage: If storing the cooler for an extended period, ensure it is clean, dry, and unplugged. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
