Setup
1. Battery Installation
The RYOBI ZRP320 operates with an 18V ONE+ Lithium-Ion battery (sold separately). Ensure the battery is fully charged before use.
- Align the battery with the battery port on the base of the nailer handle.
- Slide the battery into the port until it clicks securely into place.
- To remove, press the release latches on the battery and slide it out.
2. Loading Nails
This nailer uses 18-gauge brad nails ranging from 5/8 inch to 2 inches in length.
- Locate the magazine release latch, typically at the rear of the magazine.
- Pull back the pusher assembly until it locks into place.
- Insert a strip of brad nails into the magazine with the points facing forward.
- Release the pusher assembly to push the nails forward into the firing position.
- Ensure the low-nail indicator is visible to monitor nail supply.

3. Adjusting Depth of Drive
The depth of nail drive can be adjusted to suit different materials and desired finishes.
- Locate the depth adjustment dial or lever on the tool.
- Turn the dial or move the lever to increase or decrease the driving depth. Test on a scrap piece of material to achieve the desired depth.
Operating Instructions
1. Selecting Actuation Mode
The ZRP320 features a selectable drive shift for single sequential or contact actuation.
- Single Sequential Actuation: For precise nail placement. The trigger must be pulled for each nail.
- Contact Actuation: For faster operation. Hold the trigger and press the contact trip against the workpiece to fire nails.
2. Firing the Nailer
- Ensure the battery is installed and nails are loaded.
- Select the desired actuation mode.
- Place the nose of the nailer firmly against the workpiece. The contact trip must be compressed.
- Pull the trigger to drive a nail.
- The integrated LED lights will illuminate the work area when the trigger is pulled.

Maintenance
1. General Cleaning
- Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance.
- Keep the tool clean and free of debris, especially around the nosepiece and magazine. Use a dry cloth to wipe down the tool.
- Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals, as they may damage plastic parts.
2. Dry-Fire Lockout
The dry-fire lockout feature prevents the tool from firing when the magazine is empty, protecting the tool and workpiece. Reload nails when the low-nail indicator shows the magazine is nearly empty.
3. Lubrication
Refer to the official RYOBI service manual for specific lubrication requirements. Generally, cordless nailers require minimal lubrication compared to pneumatic models.
