Conair Titanium Tourmaline Split Barrel Conical Multi-Functional Flat Iron, Waver and Wand
Model: CS125TTC
Introduction
The Conair Titanium Tourmaline Split Barrel Conical Multi-Functional Flat Iron, Waver and Wand is a versatile hair styling tool designed to curl, straighten, crimp, or wave your hair. Its innovative split barrel design allows it to function as a flat iron for smoothing and adding shine, or to be locked together to form a tapered curling wand for creating various curl types.
This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your new styling tool, including setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Operating Instructions
Powering On and Temperature Selection
- Once plugged in, locate the power switch and turn the appliance ON.
- Select your desired temperature setting using the adjustable heat controls. The available settings are 340°F (170°C), 400°F (200°C), and 450°F (230°C). Allow the iron to heat up for a few moments until the indicator light (if present) signals readiness.

Using as a Flat Iron (Straightener or Twin Barrel)
For straightening or creating soft waves, use the appliance in its open position.
- Ensure hair is clean, dry, and tangle-free.
- Take a small section of hair and place it between the heated plates.
- Gently close the plates and glide the iron down the hair section from root to tip.
- Repeat as necessary until desired smoothness or wave is achieved.

Using as a Conical Curling Wand
To create tousled curls or tight ringlets, engage the lock-in function to transform the split barrel into a tapered curling wand.
- Close the two barrels together and engage the lock mechanism (refer to product diagram for lock location). This will form a single conical wand.
- Take a section of hair and wrap it around the tapered barrel, starting from the wider base and wrapping towards the narrower tip for tighter curls.
- Hold for a few seconds (duration depends on hair type and desired curl intensity).
- Release the hair gently.
- The clipless barrel is studded with tiny silicone guides to assist in positioning hair for spiral curls.

Always ensure the appliance is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
- Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Appliance does not heat up. | Not plugged in correctly, power outlet issue, or internal fault. | Ensure the plug is fully inserted into a working outlet. Check household fuse/circuit breaker. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
| Hair is not curling/straightening effectively. | Incorrect temperature setting, hair not clean/dry, or too large a section of hair. | Increase temperature if hair type requires it. Ensure hair is completely dry and free of products. Use smaller sections of hair. |
| Appliance emits a burning smell. | Product residue on plates, or internal electrical issue. | Unplug immediately and allow to cool. Clean plates thoroughly. If smell persists or is accompanied by smoke, discontinue use and contact customer support. |
