1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:

• Read all instructions before operating the blender.
• To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the motor base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning.
• Avoid contact with moving parts. Blades are sharp. Handle with care.

4. Setup and First Use

1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Clean: Before first use, wash the blending jar, lid, and tamper with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.
3. Assemble: Place the blending jar securely onto the motor base. Ensure it is properly seated.
4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. The blender will enter standby mode.

5. Operating Instructions

The JOYOUNG Professional Blender JYL-Y6M features an intelligent touch screen for easy operation. It offers various pre-set functions and manual controls.

1. Add Ingredients: Place your desired ingredients into the blending jar. Ensure ingredients are cut into pieces smaller than 2cm for optimal blending. Do not exceed the maximum fill lines (1500mL for cold, 1200mL for hot).
2. Secure Lid: Place the lid firmly onto the blending jar. Ensure it is properly aligned and locked if applicable.
3. Select Program: On the touch control panel, select your desired function (e.g., Vegetable, Soymilk, Sauce, Smoothie, Bisque, Nuts). The display will show the default time for the selected program.
4. Start Blending: Press the "Start/Stop" button to begin the blending process. The blender will automatically adjust speed and time according to the selected program.
5. Manual Control: For manual blending, use the "Speed +" and "Speed -" buttons to adjust the blending speed. Use "Time +" and "Time -" to set the duration. Press "Start/Stop" to begin.
6. Adding Ingredients Mid-Cycle: If necessary, you can carefully add ingredients through the lid opening during blending. Exercise extreme caution, especially with hot liquids, due to escaping steam.
7. Completion: The blender will automatically stop when the program is complete and return to standby mode.
8. Pour and Serve: Unplug the machine, remove the container from the base, and pour out your prepared beverage or food.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and hygiene of your blender.

6.1 Easy Wash Function (Self-Cleaning)

The blender features an "Easy Wash Function" for quick cleaning after use.

1. After use, rinse the jar to remove large food particles.
2. Fill the blending jar with warm water up to the 500mL mark.
3. Add a drop of dish soap.
4. Secure the lid.
5. Select the "Clean" function on the control panel.
6. Press "Start/Stop". The blender will run for 30 to 60 seconds to clean itself.
7. Discard the soapy water and rinse the jar thoroughly.

6.2 Manual Cleaning

For a more thorough cleaning, especially after processing sticky or oily ingredients:

1. Unplug the blender from the power outlet.
2. Remove the blending jar from the motor base.
3. Carefully remove the blade assembly by turning it counter-clockwise from the bottom of the jar.
4. Wash the blending jar, lid, and blade assembly with warm, soapy water. Use a brush to clean around the blades.
5. Rinse all parts thoroughly.
6. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water. Avoid getting the socket area of the jar wet.
7. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or storing. Store with the lid slightly open to prevent odors.
