The Libratone ZIPP is a portable wireless speaker designed to deliver a rich, 360-degree sound experience throughout your home. It supports multiple connectivity options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, and Spotify Connect, offering versatile audio streaming. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your ZIPP speaker.

What's in the Box

Upon unboxing your Libratone ZIPP speaker, please ensure all the following components are present:

Setup

1. Charging the Speaker

Before initial use, fully charge your Libratone ZIPP speaker. Connect the supplied AC adaptor to the charging port on the speaker and plug it into a power outlet. A full charge takes approximately 2.5 hours and provides up to 10 hours of continuous playtime at 70% volume.

2. Powering On/Off

To power on the speaker, press and hold the power button located on the top panel until the indicator light illuminates. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the light turns off.

3. Connecting via Wi-Fi (Libratone App Recommended)

For the best experience and access to all features, it is recommended to connect your ZIPP speaker via Wi-Fi using the Libratone App.

1. Download the Libratone App from your device's app store.
2. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your ZIPP speaker to your home Wi-Fi network.
3. The app will guide you through setting up Wi-Fi, enabling features like AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and multi-room audio.

Alternative Wi-Fi Connections:

• AirPlay 2 (iOS Devices): Once connected to Wi-Fi, you can stream audio directly from your Apple devices using AirPlay 2.
• Spotify Connect: Stream music directly from the Spotify app to your ZIPP speaker when both are on the same Wi-Fi network.
• DLNA (Android Devices): Compatible with DLNA-enabled devices for streaming over Wi-Fi.

4. Connecting via Bluetooth

For direct connection without Wi-Fi, you can use Bluetooth:

1. Ensure the speaker is powered on.
2. Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker's top panel until the indicator light blinks, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your device (smartphone, laptop), go to Bluetooth settings and select 'Libratone ZIPP' from the list of available devices.
4. Once connected, the indicator light will become solid.

5. Multi-Room Setup (SoundSpace Technology)

The Libratone ZIPP supports multi-room audio by connecting up to six ZIPP speakers over Wi-Fi. This allows for immersive sound in one area or synchronized playback across multiple rooms.

• Use the Libratone App to group speakers and manage multi-room zones.
• You can also pair two ZIPP speakers for enhanced stereo sound (True Wireless Stereo - TWS), with one acting as the left channel and the other as the right.

6. Amazon Alexa Compatibility

The ZIPP speaker can be integrated with Amazon Alexa for voice control. Pair or plug in your Amazon Echo, Dot, or Tap to any ZIPP speaker to add Alexa voice control functionality.

Operating the Speaker

1. Touch Controls

The top panel of the ZIPP speaker features intuitive touch controls:

• Volume Control: Circle your finger around the touch interface to adjust the volume.
• Skip Tracks: Tap the appropriate icon to skip to the next or previous track.
• Radio Presets: The speaker allows you to preset up to 5 favorite radio stations for one-touch access. Manage these presets via the Libratone App.

2. App Control

3. Audio Playback (360° FullRoom Sound)

4. Hands-Free Calls

Maintenance

1. Cleaning
