4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
- Ensure the walkie talkie is powered off.
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the unit.
- Slide the battery into the compartment, ensuring the contacts align.
- Press firmly until the battery clicks into place.

4.2. Antenna Attachment
- Select the desired antenna (standard or high-gain).
- Screw the antenna clockwise onto the connector at the top of the walkie talkie until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off and Volume Control
Rotate the Power/Volume knob (top left) clockwise to turn the radio on and increase the volume. Rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume and turn the radio off.
5.2. Channel Selection
Rotate the Channel Selecting knob (top right) to choose one of the 16 available channels. The radio will announce the selected channel number.
5.3. Transmitting and Receiving (PTT)
To transmit, press and hold the Push-to-Talk (PTT) button on the side of the radio. Speak clearly into the microphone. Release the PTT button to receive.
5.4. High/Low Power Selection
The RT1 supports high and low power output. To switch between high and low power, press the designated side button (often labeled H/L or programmable). The radio will announce the current power setting.

5.5. VOX Function
