2. Setup
2.1 Battery Installation
The Technoline WS 8015 requires 4 AA batteries (not included) for operation. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the clock.
- Remove the cover by sliding or unlatching it.
- Insert 4 new AA batteries according to the polarity markings (+ and -) inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely.
Upon battery insertion, the clock will power on and begin searching for the DCF-77 radio signal for automatic time synchronization.
2.2 Initial Synchronization
After battery installation, the clock will automatically attempt to receive the DCF-77 radio signal. This process can take several minutes to a few hours, depending on your location and environmental conditions. During synchronization, a signal icon may flash on the display.
- Place the clock near a window for better signal reception.
- Avoid placing the clock near electronic devices that may cause interference (e.g., TVs, computers, microwaves).
- Once synchronized, the signal icon will appear solid, and the time, date, and day of the week will be set automatically.
2.3 Manual Time Setting (If Synchronization Fails)
If the clock fails to synchronize with the DCF-77 signal after an extended period, you can set the time manually.
- Refer to the operating instructions for specific buttons and steps to enter manual setting mode.
- Adjust the hour, minute, year, month, day, and language for the weekday display using the designated buttons.
- Confirm each setting to save and exit manual mode.
2.4 Placement
The Technoline WS 8015 can be used as a wall clock or a table clock.
- Wall Mounting: Use the keyhole slot on the back of the clock to hang it on a screw or nail securely fastened to the wall.
- Table Standing: Extend the integrated stand on the back of the clock to place it on a flat surface.

4.2 Cleaning
To clean the clock, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical agents, as these may damage the display or casing. Avoid getting moisture into the clock's internal components.
5. Troubleshooting
- No Display or Dim Display:
Check if batteries are inserted correctly with the right polarity. Replace old batteries with new ones. - Clock Not Synchronizing (Incorrect Time):
Ensure the clock is placed in an area with good DCF-77 signal reception, away from electronic interference. Try moving the clock to a different location, preferably near a window. Allow several hours for synchronization. If synchronization consistently fails, set the time manually as described in Section 2.3. - Incorrect Temperature/Humidity Readings:
Ensure the clock is not exposed to direct sunlight, heat sources, or extreme drafts, which can affect sensor accuracy. Allow the clock to stabilize in its environment for at least 30 minutes after placement. - Alarm Not Sounding:
Verify that the alarm is activated (alarm icon visible on display). Check that the alarm time is set correctly. - Buttons Not Responding:
Remove and reinsert the batteries to perform a soft reset. If the issue persists, replace the batteries.
