3. Assembly Instructions
Assembly typically takes 10-15 minutes. Follow these steps carefully:
- Attach Casters to Base: Insert the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the 5-star base. Push firmly until they click into place.
- Insert Gas Lift: Place the gas lift cylinder into the center hole of the assembled base. Ensure it sits firmly.
- Attach Mechanism Plate to Seat: Align the mechanism plate with the screw holes on the underside of the seat cushion. Secure it with the appropriate screws, ensuring the front of the mechanism faces the front of the seat.
- Attach Armrests: Secure the armrests to the sides of the seat cushion using the provided screws. Ensure they are oriented correctly.
- Attach Backrest: Connect the backrest to the seat cushion and armrests using the remaining screws. Tighten all screws evenly.
- Connect Seat to Gas Lift: Carefully place the assembled seat onto the gas lift cylinder. Apply gentle downward pressure to secure it.
4. Operating Instructions
The SONGMICS OBG28B chair offers several adjustable features for optimal comfort:
- Seat Height Adjustment: To raise the seat, lift the lever located under the right side of the seat while standing. To lower the seat, lift the lever while seated. The seat height can be adjusted from 46 cm to 56 cm.
- Flip-Up Armrests: The armrests can be flipped up to allow more space or to push the chair further under a desk. Simply lift the armrests upwards until they lock into the vertical position. To lower, pull them down.
- Tilt Mechanism: The chair features a tilt mechanism for reclining. Pull the lever (usually the same one for height adjustment, pushed inwards) outwards to unlock the tilt function. Lean back to recline. Push the lever inwards to lock the backrest in an upright position.
- Tilt Tension Adjustment: The knob located under the front of the seat allows you to adjust the tension of the tilt mechanism. Turn clockwise to increase tension (making it harder to recline) or counter-clockwise to decrease tension (making it easier to recline).
