Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your heater. Always disconnect the heater from the power supply and allow it to cool completely before performing any maintenance.
- Cleaning the Barrel: The rugged two-piece split barrel design allows for easier access for cleaning. Regularly inspect and clean the interior of the barrel to remove any soot or debris that may accumulate.
- Fuel System Check: Periodically inspect fuel lines and connections for leaks or damage. If you observe fuel leaking around the filler cap or fuel gauge, ensure they are properly sealed and not damaged.
- Fuel Filter: Check and clean or replace the fuel filter as recommended in the full service manual (not provided here). A clogged fuel filter can affect performance.
- Airflow Adjustment: If switching between different fuel types (e.g., kerosene to diesel), minor adjustments to the fuel pump pressure or airflow may be necessary to ensure clean and efficient burning. Consult a qualified technician if unsure.
- General Cleaning: Keep the exterior of the heater clean and free of dust and debris. Do not spray water directly onto the heater.
