Setup
Battery Installation
Your Sangean portable radio operates on two AAA batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Slide or lift the cover to open the compartment.
- Insert two AAA batteries, matching the (+) and (-) terminals as indicated inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

Operating Instructions
Power On/Off and Band Selection
- Locate the Power/Band selector switch on the side of the radio.
- Slide the switch to either 'FM' or 'AM' to turn the radio on and select your desired band. Slide to 'OFF' to power down.
Tuning to a Station
- Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal FM reception. For AM reception, the radio uses a built-in ferrite bar antenna, so no external antenna adjustment is needed.
- Rotate the Tuning wheel (usually located on the side) to scan through frequencies.
- Observe the LED Tuning Indicator. It will illuminate when you have tuned into a strong and stable signal.
Volume Adjustment
Adjust the volume by rotating the Volume control dial, typically found on the side of the radio. Turn clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
Using Earphones
For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm earphones into the earphone jack. The built-in speaker will automatically mute when earphones are connected.
