3. Product Overview

3.1 Ergonomic Design

3.3 Trackball and Bearings

The trackball is designed for smooth and precise tracking. It can be easily removed for cleaning to maintain optimal performance.

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the underside of the mouse.
  2. Insert one AA battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 USB Receiver Connection

  1. Locate the USB wireless receiver, typically stored in a compartment on the underside of the mouse.
  2. Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. The computer should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.

4.3 Powering On the Mouse

Slide the power switch on the underside of the mouse to the 'ON' position. A red indicator light may briefly illuminate to confirm power.

4.4 Software Installation (ELECOM Mouse Assistant)

To customize the 8 buttons and other advanced features, download and install the ELECOM Mouse Assistant software.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Trackball

Regular cleaning of the trackball and its housing is essential for smooth operation. Dust and debris can accumulate and affect tracking performance.

  1. Turn off the mouse using the power switch.
  2. Push the trackball out from the hole on the underside of the mouse.
  3. Use a soft, lint-free cloth or cotton swab to clean the trackball and the three small support bearings inside the trackball housing.
  4. Reinsert the trackball into its socket.

6.2 Battery Replacement

When the battery indicator light (if present) signals low power, or if the mouse becomes unresponsive, replace the AA battery as described in Section 4.1.
