Important Safeguards

Setup

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle and its power base from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with clean water to the MAX fill line. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
3. Placement: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter.
4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the appliance's requirements (typically 120V AC for North America).

Operating Instructions

Filling the Kettle

• Press the lid release button to open the lid.
• Fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh, cold water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark.
• Close the lid firmly until it clicks into place.

Boiling Water

1. Place the kettle securely on its power base.
2. Press the "BOIL" button (or the power button, depending on model specifics). The indicator light will illuminate.
3. The kettle will automatically shut off once the water reaches a rolling boil. The indicator light will turn off.
4. Carefully lift the kettle from the base to pour.

Variable Temperature Control

This kettle features variable temperature settings, allowing you to heat water to specific temperatures for different beverages.

1. Place the kettle on its power base.
2. Use the "+" and "-" buttons on the handle to select your desired temperature. Common settings include:
   • 160°F (70°C): Green Tea
   • 175°F (80°C): White Tea
   • 195°F (90°C): Oolong Tea, French Press Coffee
   • 200°F (93°C): Black Tea, Instant Coffee
   • 212°F (100°C): Boiling (for instant noodles, hot chocolate, etc.)
3. Press the power/start button to begin heating. The display will show the current temperature as it heats up.
4. The kettle will automatically shut off once the selected temperature is reached.

Keep Warm Function

The "KEEP WARM" function maintains the water at your selected temperature for a period of time.

• After selecting your desired temperature and starting the heating process, press the "KEEP WARM" button.
• The kettle will heat to the set temperature and then maintain it for approximately 30 minutes.
• To deactivate, press the "KEEP WARM" button again or lift the kettle from the base.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your kettle. Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.

Exterior Cleaning

• Wipe the exterior of the kettle and power base with a soft, damp cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the stainless steel finish.
• Ensure the power base and electrical connections remain dry.

Interior Cleaning (Descaling)

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. Descaling is recommended every 1-3 months, depending on water hardness.

1. Vinegar Method: Fill the kettle with 2 cups of white vinegar and 2 cups of water. Let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or boil the mixture and let it stand for 15-20 minutes.
2. Citric Acid Method: Dissolve 1 tablespoon of citric acid powder in 4 cups of water. Pour into the kettle and boil.
3. After descaling, discard the solution and rinse the kettle thoroughly with fresh water several times to remove any residue and odor.
