5. Setup and First Use

  1. Unpack the iron and all its components. Ensure all packing materials are removed.
  2. Check the iron for any visible damage. If damaged, do not use and contact customer support.
  3. Before first use, wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth to remove any manufacturing residue.
  4. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
  5. Set the thermostat to the maximum temperature and allow the iron to heat for a few minutes. A slight odor or smoke may occur during the first use; this is normal and will dissipate.
  6. Iron an old piece of fabric to ensure the soleplate is clean and ready for use.

6. Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare Garments: Sort clothes according to fabric type (e.g., linen, cotton, wool, silk, synthetics). Always check the garment's care label for ironing instructions.
  2. Set Temperature: Turn the thermostat control knob to the appropriate setting for the fabric you are ironing. Start with lower temperatures for delicate fabrics and gradually increase for heavier fabrics.
  3. Heat Up: Plug the iron into the power outlet. The indicator lamp will light up, indicating the iron is heating. It will turn off when the desired temperature is reached.
  4. Ironing: Begin ironing. For best results, iron fabrics in the order of increasing temperature settings (e.g., synthetics first, then silk, wool, cotton, and finally linen).
  5. After Ironing: Once finished, turn the thermostat knob to 'OFF' or 'MIN' and unplug the iron from the power outlet. Allow the iron to cool down completely before storing.
