4.2 Temperature Measurement

  1. Unfold the probe to power on the thermometer.
  2. Insert the tip of the stainless steel probe into the center of the food or liquid you wish to measure. Ensure the probe is inserted deep enough to get an accurate reading, avoiding bones or fat.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: The thermometer is IP67 waterproof. Wipe it with a soapy cloth or rinse it under running water to clean. DO NOT soak the thermometer in water or place it in a dishwasher.

  • Battery Replacement: Replace the 2 AAA batteries when the display indicates low power or fails to turn on. Ensure correct polarity during installation.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Thermometer Will Not Turn On:
    • Ensure the probe is fully unfolded. The device powers on automatically when the probe is extended.
    • Check the batteries. The thermometer ships with batteries installed, but they may have a plastic film that needs to be removed before first use. Open the battery compartment and remove any protective film, then reinsert the batteries with correct polarity.
    • Replace the batteries with fresh AAA batteries if the existing ones are depleted.
  • Inaccurate Readings:
    • Ensure the probe is inserted into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bones or fat, which can affect readings.
    • Allow sufficient time for the reading to stabilize (typically 1-2 seconds).
    • If persistent inaccuracies occur, the thermometer may require calibration. Refer to the manufacturer's website or contact customer support for calibration instructions.
