Setup
Power Supply
Your Aiwa XP-655 can be powered by batteries or an optional AC adapter.
Using Batteries
The unit requires four (4) AA batteries (not included).
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert four AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Using an AC Adapter (Optional)

Car Operation (Optional Accessory)
This unit can be operated on an automobile power system with the use of the optional accessory car kit CKS-C5 and the optional car audio cassette adaptor CAP-5 (included with some packages). Refer to the instructions provided with the CKS-C5 car kit for detailed installation and operation.
Operating Instructions
Loading a Compact Disc
- Press the OPEN button to open the disc compartment lid.
- Hold the CD by its edges and place it onto the center spindle with the label side facing up. Gently press down until it clicks into place.
- Close the disc compartment lid firmly until it latches.

Basic Playback
- To Play: Press the PLAY/PAUSE (►/−) button. Playback will start from the first track or where it was last paused.
- To Pause: Press the PLAY/PAUSE (►/−) button during playback. Press again to resume.
- To Stop: Press the STOP (■) button.
- To Skip Tracks: Press SKIP/SEARCH (►►) to go to the next track. Press SKIP/SEARCH (◀◀) to go to the beginning of the current track or the previous track.
- To Search: Press and hold SKIP/SEARCH (►►) or (◀◀) during playback to fast forward or rewind within a track.
- Volume Adjustment: Use the VOLUME control to set your desired listening level.
Advanced Playback Functions (If Available)
Your player may include additional features such as Repeat, Random Play, or Program Play. Refer to the display indicators and any additional buttons on your unit for these functions. Typically, a 'MODE' or 'FUNCTION' button cycles through these options.
Maintenance
Proper care will ensure long-lasting performance from your CD player.
