Controls and Features:

Setup
1. Powering the Unit
The CD-60C can be powered by batteries or an optional AC adapter.
Battery Installation:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert the required number of 'AA' size batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
AC Adapter (Optional):
- Connect a compatible 4.5V DC AC adapter (not included) to the DC IN 4.5V jack on the side of the unit.
- Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- When using the AC adapter, batteries are automatically disconnected.
2. Connecting Headphones
Insert the stereo earbuds (included) or your preferred 3.5mm stereo headphones into the PHONES jack on the side of the unit.
Operating Instructions
1. Loading a CD
- Gently press the OPEN button to lift the CD compartment lid.
- Place a CD (or CD-R/RW disc) onto the center spindle with the label side facing up.
- Press down gently on the center of the disc until it clicks into place.
- Close the CD compartment lid firmly until it latches.
2. CD Playback
- Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback. The track number and elapsed time will appear on the LCD display.
- Press PLAY/PAUSE again to pause playback. Press it once more to resume.
- Press the STOP button to stop playback.
- To skip to the next track, press the SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD button (>>|).
- To go back to the beginning of the current track, press the SKIP/SEARCH BACKWARD button (|<<) once. Press it twice to go to the previous track.
- To fast forward, press and hold the SKIP/SEARCH FORWARD button (>>|).
- To fast rewind, press and hold the SKIP/SEARCH BACKWARD button (|<<).
- Adjust the VOLUME control to your desired listening level.
3. Anti-Skip Protection
The Jensen CD-60C features 60-second anti-skip protection to ensure uninterrupted audio during minor shocks or vibrations. This feature is automatically active during CD playback.
4. Bass Boost Function
Slide the BASS BOOST switch to the ON position to enhance the bass frequencies for a richer sound experience. Slide it to OFF to disable.
5. Playback Modes (Repeat/Random)
Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through the following playback options:
- REPEAT 1: Repeats the current track.
- REPEAT ALL: Repeats all tracks on the disc.
- RANDOM: Plays tracks in a random order.
- (No indicator): Normal playback.
6. Programmable Playback
- In STOP mode, press the PROG button. The program indicator will flash.
- Use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons to select your desired first track.
- Press PROG again to confirm the selection.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add more tracks to your program (up to 20 tracks).
- After programming, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start programmed playback.
- To clear the program, press the STOP button twice.
7. FM Radio Operation
The CD-60C includes an integrated FM radio tuner.
- Ensure no CD is playing.
- Press the MODE button to switch to FM radio mode. The frequency will appear on the LCD display.
- Use the SKIP/SEARCH buttons to tune to your desired FM station. A short press will fine-tune, while a long press will auto-scan for the next available station.
- Adjust the VOLUME control as needed.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit:
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- To clean the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaner disc (not included).
Battery Care:
- Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
- Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
CD Care:
- Handle CDs by their edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches.
- Store CDs in their cases when not in use.
- Clean CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
