Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your myTouchSmart 25055 In-Wall Digital Countdown Timer. This device is designed to automate indoor and outdoor lighting, fans, or other devices, offering convenience and energy savings. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Important Safety Information
- WARNING: Risk of Electric Shock. Installation requires working with 120V AC wiring. Always turn off power at the circuit breaker or fuse box before installation.
- This device is intended for indoor use only.
- A neutral wire is REQUIRED for proper installation and operation. If you are unsure, consult a qualified electrician.
- Do not exceed the electrical ratings: 120VAC 60 Hz, 15A General/Resistive, 1200W Tungsten, 1200VA Ballast, ½ HP.
- Ensure all wire connections are secure and properly insulated.
- Read all instructions completely before beginning installation.

Note: A wall plate is not included and must be purchased separately.
Installation Instructions
- Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse that supplies power to the switch you are replacing. Turn it OFF. Verify power is off by attempting to turn on the light or device controlled by the switch.
- Remove Existing Switch: Carefully remove the wall plate and unscrew the existing switch from the wall box. Disconnect the wires from the old switch.
- Identify Wires: Identify the LINE (hot), LOAD, NEUTRAL, and GROUND wires. A neutral wire is REQUIRED for this timer. If you do not have a neutral wire, consult a qualified electrician.
- Wire the Timer: Connect the wires to the myTouchSmart 25055 timer using the screw terminals as shown in the diagram below. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.
- LINE Wire: Connect to the terminal labeled "Line".
- LOAD Wire: Connect to the terminal labeled "Load".
- NEUTRAL Wire: Connect to the terminal labeled "Neutral".
- GROUND Wire: Connect to the terminal labeled "Ground".
- Mount the Timer: Gently push the wired timer into the wall box. Secure it with the provided screws.
- Install Wall Plate: Attach your existing or a new wall plate (not included) over the timer.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back ON at the circuit breaker or fuse box.

The timer includes interchangeable white and light almond switch covers to match your decor. To change the switch cover, carefully pry off the existing cover and snap on the desired color.
Operation
Setting the Current Time
- Press the CLOCK button to enter time setting mode.
- Use the UP (▲) and DOWN (▼) arrow buttons to adjust the hour and minute. The time will scroll.
- Press the CLOCK button again to confirm and exit time setting mode.
Using Preset Programs
The myTouchSmart 25055 timer features three preset buttons for common scheduling needs:
- EVENING (5pm-12am): Activates the connected device from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
- MORNING (5am-8am): Activates the connected device from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
- ALL NIGHT (6pm-6am): Activates the connected device from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
To activate a preset program, simply press the corresponding button (e.g., EVENING, MORNING, ALL NIGHT). The blue LED indicator next to the button will illuminate to show it is active.
Custom Countdown Function
The COUNTDOWN button allows you to set a custom countdown timer for up to 24 hours.
- Press the COUNTDOWN button. The display will show "00:00".
- Use the UP (▲) and DOWN (▼) arrow buttons to set the desired countdown duration (up to 24 hours).
- Press the COUNTDOWN button again to start the countdown. The connected device will turn ON for the set duration and then turn OFF.
Manual ON/OFF Override
You can manually turn the connected device ON or OFF at any time, overriding any active program.
- Press the ON button to manually turn the device ON.
- Press the OFF button to manually turn the device OFF.

Maintenance
- Clean the timer's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals.
- The internal backup battery is designed for long-term use and typically does not require replacement.
Troubleshooting
