  • Connect the keypad to a 12-24V AC/DC power supply (sold separately).
  • Utilize the two 1-Amp relay outputs and one transistor ground output for connecting to access control devices such as electronic door strikes or alarm control panels.
  • The included diode should be used for DC applications to protect against back-EMF from inductive loads like electric locks.
  • Egress input allows for exit without requiring a code or card entry. Additional egress buttons can be wired in parallel.

Operating Instructions

The SK-1131-SPQ offers extensive programming options for flexible access control.

User Management

  • Supports up to 1,200 users total: 1,000 for the primary output and 100 for each of the other two outputs.
  • User codes can be 4-8 digits long.
  • Users can be easily added or deleted to manage temporary access.
  • A "super user code" provides administrative access to the keypad programming.

Access Modes

The keypad features four programmable access modes for all three outputs:

  • Card only: Access granted solely by presenting a valid 125kHz proximity card or tag.
  • Code only: Access granted by entering a valid user code on the keypad.
  • Card and common user code: Requires both a valid card and a shared user code.
  • Card and unique user code: Requires a valid card and a unique user code assigned to that card.

Advanced Features

  • Built-in Clock: Allows for auto-disable access at specific times.
  • Optional Door Open Alarm: Triggers if a door is propped open.
  • Auto-Lockout/Duress Output: Can be triggered after 5-10 unsuccessful access attempts.
  • Duress Output: Signals a silent alarm if an authorized user is forced to open the door under duress.
  • Alarm Output: Triggers an optional alarm control panel if a protected door is forced open.
  • Keypad Active Output: Activates for 10 seconds when any key is pressed, useful for triggering video recorders or lights.
  • Mantrap Function: For areas with two doors, this feature ensures only one door can be open at a time, enhancing security.
  • Independent LEDs: Three independently wired LEDs can be used as custom status indicators.

Maintenance

The Seco-Larm Enforcer Keypad is designed for low maintenance. Regular cleaning and inspection are recommended to ensure optimal performance.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the stainless-steel faceplate and keypad buttons with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronics.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion. Verify that the keypad buttons respond correctly and the backlighting functions as expected.
  • Software/Firmware: This device does not typically require user-updatable software or firmware. All programming is done directly via the keypad.
  • Environmental Conditions: Ensure the keypad remains in an indoor environment within the specified operating temperature and humidity ranges to prevent damage.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Seco-Larm Enforcer Keypad, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Keypad is unresponsive or unlit. No power, incorrect wiring, or power supply issue.Check power connections and ensure the power supply is providing 12-24V AC/DC. Verify wiring according to the installation diagram.
Access denied with correct code/card.Incorrect access mode, user not programmed, or card not recognized.Verify the programmed access mode (e.g., Card only, Code only). Ensure the user code/card is correctly programmed into the keypad. Check if the proximity card is 125kHz compatible.
Door does not unlock/lock.Issue with electric lock, relay output wiring, or lock settings.Check the wiring to the electric lock and the keypad's relay outputs. Ensure the lock itself is functioning correctly. Verify the output settings in the keypad's programming.
Tamper alarm triggers unexpectedly.Keypad not securely mounted or tamper switch issue.Ensure the keypad is securely mounted to the back box and wall. Inspect the tamper switch for any obstructions or damage.

If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact Seco-Larm technical support.
