The Invicta Remilly stove is designed for heating residential spaces, offering an optimal power output of 7 kW, adjustable from 4.5 to 10.5 kW. It features a clean glass system, adjustable secondary air, and an 8-hour extended combustion capability. This product is certified "Origine France Garantie," ensuring its French manufacturing origin and high quality standards.

2. Safety Instructions

  • Professional Installation: The stove must be installed by a qualified professional in accordance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation in the room where the stove is installed to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.
  • Clearances: Maintain minimum clearances to combustible materials as specified by local regulations and the installer.
  • Fuel Type: Only burn dry, seasoned wood. Do not burn treated wood, trash, plastics, or flammable liquids.
  • Hot Surfaces: The stove surfaces become extremely hot during operation. Use protective gloves and keep children and pets away.
  • Ash Disposal: Dispose of ashes in a metal container with a tight-fitting lid, away from combustible materials.
  • Chimney Maintenance: Regular chimney sweeping is essential to prevent creosote buildup and chimney fires.
  • Smoke Detectors: Install and maintain smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in your home.

3. Unpacking and Installation (Setup)

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the stove from its packaging. Inspect the appliance for any signs of damage during transit. Report any damage to your supplier immediately. Retain packaging materials for potential future transport.

3.2 Placement

The stove must be placed on a non-combustible floor protector if the floor beneath is combustible. Ensure the floor can support the weight of the stove (106.02 kg). Maintain adequate distances from walls and furniture as per local regulations.

3.3 Chimney Connection

Connect the stove to a suitable and properly sized chimney flue. The chimney must be clean, in good condition, and free from obstructions. All connections must be sealed to prevent smoke leakage.

4. Operation

4.1 First Fire

During the first few fires, burn small fires to allow the paint to cure. You may notice an odor and some smoke, which is normal. Ensure good ventilation during this period. Avoid overheating the stove during the initial curing phase.

4.2 Loading Wood

Open the air controls fully before opening the stove door to prevent smoke spillage. Place dry, seasoned wood logs (up to 34 cm in length) onto the grate. Do not overfill the combustion chamber.

4.3 Air Controls

  • Primary Air: Used for ignition and rapid combustion. Keep fully open during startup.
  • Secondary Air: This adjustable air intake protects the glass from smoke and soot deposits and ensures the combustion of volatile materials. Adjust it to optimize combustion and maintain a clean glass.

4.4 Extended Combustion (8 Hours)

The stove is capable of slow combustion for up to 8 hours without refueling. To achieve this, load the stove with dense wood, allow it to burn vigorously for a short period, then significantly reduce both primary and secondary air intakes. A bed of embers will remain, allowing for easy rekindling by simply adding more wood and opening the air controls.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Ash Removal

Regularly remove ash from the ash pan. Do not allow ash to accumulate to the point where it touches the bottom of the grate, as this can restrict airflow and damage the grate. Ensure the stove is cool before removing ash.

5.2 Glass Cleaning (Clean Glass System)

The Invicta Remilly features a clean glass system that helps reduce soot buildup. If the glass becomes dirty, clean it when the stove is cold using a specialized stove glass cleaner or a damp cloth dipped in ash. Avoid abrasive cleaners.

5.3 Chimney Sweeping

Have your chimney and flue pipe inspected and cleaned by a certified chimney sweep at least once a year, or more frequently if necessary, depending on usage. This prevents creosote accumulation and ensures safe operation.
