Initial Time Setting:

  1. On the back of the clock, locate the time setting knob (usually marked with a clock icon or 'TIME').
  2. Rotate the knob clockwise or counter-clockwise to set the current time. Ensure you set the correct AM/PM if applicable (though this is an analogue clock, consider the 12-hour cycle for alarm setting).

Operating Instructions

Setting the Alarm:

  1. Locate the alarm setting knob on the back of the clock (usually marked with an alarm bell icon or 'ALARM').
  2. Rotate this knob to set the desired alarm time. The alarm hand on the clock face will move independently.
  3. To activate the alarm, slide the ON/OFF switch (often near the alarm knob) to the 'ON' position. To deactivate, slide it to 'OFF'.

Using the Snooze Function:

When the alarm sounds, press the large button located on the top of the clock. This will temporarily silence the alarm, and it will sound again after approximately 5 minutes. To turn off the alarm completely, slide the alarm ON/OFF switch to the 'OFF' position.

Smartlite Technology:

The Acctim Astoria features Smartlite technology. A built-in light sensor on the clock monitors ambient light levels. When the room becomes dark, the backlight on the clock face will automatically illuminate, providing clear visibility of the time. As the room brightens, the backlight will turn off to conserve battery life. This feature is automatic and cannot be manually disabled or adjusted.

Maintenance

Cleaning:

To clean your alarm clock, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these may damage the clock's finish or internal components.

Battery Replacement:

When the clock's display dims, the alarm weakens, or the clock stops functioning, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the 'Setup' section.
