5. Setup
5.1. Placement
The center channel speaker is crucial for dialogue and central sound effects in a home theater system. Proper placement ensures optimal sound imaging and clarity.
- Central Position: Place the LN02 directly above or below your television or projection screen, centered horizontally.
- Ear Level: Ideally, the tweeter of the center speaker should be as close to ear level as possible when seated in your primary listening position. If placed below the screen, consider angling it slightly upwards.
- Proximity to Wall: Due to its front-facing bass reflex ports, the LN02 can be placed closer to a wall or inside a media cabinet without significantly affecting bass performance. Ensure there is still some space for air circulation.
- Stable Surface: Ensure the speaker rests on a stable, level surface to prevent vibrations and ensure sound clarity.
5.2. Connection
Connect the LN02 to the center channel output of your AV receiver or amplifier using high-quality speaker cables.
- Power Off: Ensure your AV receiver/amplifier is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet before making any connections.
- Identify Terminals: Locate the binding posts on the rear of the LN02 speaker and the corresponding "Center" output terminals on your receiver. The LN02 has two binding posts: one red (+) and one black (-).
- Prepare Cables: Strip approximately 1/2 inch (12-15 mm) of insulation from the ends of your speaker cables. Twist the bare wire strands tightly.
- Connect: Connect the positive (+) terminal (red) of the speaker to the positive (+) terminal of the center channel output on your receiver. Connect the negative (-) terminal (black) of the speaker to the negative (-) terminal of the center channel output on your receiver. Ensure a secure connection and that no stray wire strands are touching each other or other terminals.
- Verify Polarity: Maintaining correct polarity (red to red, black to black) is essential for proper sound reproduction. Incorrect polarity can result in thin bass and poor stereo imaging.

6. Operating
Once connected, the triangle Elara LN02 will function as the dedicated center channel in your home theater system. Its primary role is to reproduce dialogue and central sound effects.
- Receiver Settings: After connecting, access your AV receiver's setup menu. Run the automatic room correction system (if available) or manually configure the speaker settings. Ensure the center channel is set to "Small" or "Large" based on your system's subwoofer integration and personal preference.
- Volume Levels: Adjust the individual channel levels in your receiver's settings to ensure the center channel is balanced with your other speakers. Dialogue should be clear and distinct without being overly loud or quiet compared to the rest of the soundstage.
- Break-in Period: Like many high-fidelity speakers, the LN02 may benefit from a break-in period. Allow the speaker to play for several hours at moderate volume levels to allow the drivers to loosen and achieve their optimal performance.
7. Maintenance
To maintain the appearance and performance of your triangle Elara LN02 speaker, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning the Cabinet: Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the cabinet. For gloss finishes, avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface.
- Cleaning the Grille: If the grille becomes dusty, gently brush it with a soft brush or use a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment on a low setting.
- Driver Care: Avoid touching the speaker drivers (woofers and tweeter) as this can cause damage.
- Avoid Moisture: Keep the speaker away from excessive moisture or direct sunlight.
